Start of new Legal Technologies Program at Leiden University

AMSTERDAM – On March 19th 2021, the official opening ceremony for the Leiden Legal Technologies Program, which ZyLAB’s CSO Jan Scholtes helped shape together with Jaap van den Herik and others, will take place at Leiden University in the Netherlands.

The Leiden Legal Technologies Program (LLTP) seeks to educate legal professionals who wish to bolster their technological skill and knowledge, in order to improve their professional competence. For years, Scholtes has signaled a growing need in the corporate sphere for legal professionals with the necessary skills and know-how to deal with the explosive growth of Legal Big Data. Because of this, ZyLAB allowed him to take an active role in organizing and shaping an educational program alongside other knowledge partners.

The LLTP is a 4-part course aimed at legal professionals. The opening ceremony will feature several speakers, including the Dutch Minister for Effective Judicial Protection (Rechtsbescherming), Sander Dekker.
