LegalTech Workshop for legal professionals

Online, Tuesday, April 28th 2020

As legal professional, you do not have to be a data scientist. But when you are dealing with complex cases or answering subject access or regulatory requests, the challenges to find all relevant information in time can be overwhelming.

It does not matter if you are working for a corporation or law firm: every legal professional has to deal with an ever increasing number of information requests from regulators, for internal investigations, (compliance) audits, legal conflicts and GDPR-related requests.

We all know that mere searching is no longer enough. Today we need smart technology to help us identify potential relevant and responsive documents. Supported by advanced machine learning, a component of artificial intelligence (AI), we teach the computer to use a sample of relevant and responsive documents to calculate what other documents have similar content.

We will show you how that works

On April 28th, ZyLAB and partner eDiscovery Execution organize a practical workshop to show you the power of LegalTech first hand. We start with a short introduction of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in eDiscovery and then let you experience yourself how Technology Assisted Review (TAR) speeds up the review process and improves the quality of the review.

On your own laptop, we guide you through a number of practical legal use cases.

Join us for a morning of practical insights and learn how to “review half a million documents between coffee and lunch".

Agenda

The workshop starts at 10:00 AM with an introduction of eDiscovery by Henrik Jørgensen. After that, Jelle Oorebeek will explain the benefits of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for legal operations. Together they will present the latest interesting developments for legal professionals and share real life use cases of Technology Assisted review and automated redaction to comply with the GDPR.

The rest of the workshop, we let you do the work in small teams. On your own laptop, we guide you through a number of useful functionalities of AI for eDiscovery, such as advanced search, Topic Modeling, Technology Assisted Review (TAR) and automatic redaction.
