ZyIMAGE eDiscovery Platform Awarded Best-of-Show within the “Software for Desktop Systems” Category
McLean, VA and New York, NY - April 03, 2008 – ZyLAB, an innovative developer of Information Access Solutions, today announced that its ZyIMAGE eDiscovery Platform has been selected as a Government Computer News (GCN) Best of FOSE Awards 2008 winner within the “Software for Desktop Systems” category. Recognizing outstanding IT products being exhibited at the show, over 100 companies submitted new products for consideration during this year’s competition. The ZyIMAGE eDiscovery Platform offers organizations an in-house integrated e-discovery management solution that captures, investigates, structures and discloses information in a simple, secure and efficient manner.
The solution is built on a stable XML data repository and provides users with investigative tools to search, retrieve and archive vital information through a standard Internet browser. All unstructured data is stored for as long as it is needed, and integrated functionalities enable users to capture and add new data, analyze and collaborate on the data, redact specific pieces of information (if required), and retrieve and share files. Because of its modular structure, ZyIMAGE is completely scalable and therefore provides a solution to address organizational requirements at both departmental and enterprise-wide levels.
The GCN Best of FOSE Awards were open to any FOSE 2008 exhibiting company that was showcasing a new product to be used in the public sector. GCN’s editors and technology analysts reviewed the new products during FOSE show hours and chose the winners based on four criteria: innovation; usability/applicability to government; relative performance based on specifications; and value. The complete list of winners can be found at: http://www.gcn.com/online/vol1_no1/46056-1.html
“The U.S. government is the world’s largest purchaser of IT products. FOSE continues to be a showcase for the latest in technology offerings for the government – and in particularly, products that meet the government’s demanding requirements for scale and security,” said Wyatt Kash, Editor-in-Chief, GCN. “With so many quality submissions, we struggled to narrow down the 2008 GCN Best of FOSE winners, suggesting once again the degree of technology innovation that companies are focusing on for public sector applications.”
"To be recognized by one of the leading government publication’s in the country is quite an honor,” said Dr. Johannes Scholtes, president of ZyLAB North America LLC. “Our solution is one of the strongest available on the market because our search engine is optimized for maximal recall; in other words, if there is something out there that is relevant to your case, you have a better chance of finding it if you use the ZyIMAGE eDiscovery Platform. When government agencies are looking for evidence of fraud or other criminal behaviour our solution gets the job done more efficiently and effectively.”
Earlier this year the company received a “Strong Positive” rating in Gartner’s “MarketScope for E-Discovery and Litigation Support Vendors, 2007” report (Debra Logan, December 14, 2007). “Gartner considers companies receiving a "Strong Positive" rating to be "viewed as a provider of strategic products, services or solutions. Customers should continue with planned investments, and potential customers should consider this vendor a strong choice for strategic investments."
