ZyLAB to Partner to Deliver Information Access Services and Solutions

Vienna, March 23, 2007. ZyLAB, an innovative developer of Information Access Solutions, and General Dynamics Information Technology will work together  to partner to develop and deliver integrated information access services and solutions to commercial and government organizations. This solution will provide customers with end-to-end information access solutions built on an open-XML framework to help better manage enterprise-wide content, as well as meet today’s various compliance requirements.

General Dynamics Information Technology will offer ZyLAB’s ZyIMAGE Information Access Platform (IAP) to provide a well rounded suite of information management tools. The ZyIMAGE IAP is a secure and complete XML-based system that provides a robust foundation for the archiving and long-term management of vital information, including digitized paper documents, electronic files, e-mail, e-mail attachments, and multimedia.

“As we move into the next generation of records management, no longer is there a need to educate our clients on imaging or scanning, everyone knows about those capabilities,” said John Montel, Director, Document Management Division at General Dynamics IT. “Our focus with ZyLAB is two-fold; first we are educating our clients on how to manage information within the digital realm; and second, we are providing the methodologies and products that can do it utilizing the latest information access and management technologies from ZyLAB.”

The ZyIMAGE IAP's comprehensive core technology means that finding, accessing, and organizing specific data can be performed in a quick, easy, and secure fashion. ZyIMAGE offers a rich set of search tools, as well as a large set of tools for capturing, analyzing, visualizing, enriching, organizing, managing and sharing data. In addition, the ZyIMAGE IAP is truly modular. As a result, only relevant components need to be installed, thus avoiding overhead and keeping the system fast and simple to maintain. Customers can add additional modules to create the exact, cost-effective solution they require for specific types of projects or business processes such as records management, workflow, e-discovery and e-disclosure.

“General Dynamics IT can now offer clients a flexible platform to work with and one that brings to bear an open standard coupled with one of the strongest search index products on the market today,” said Dr. Johannes Scholtes, president of ZyLAB North America LLC. “This partnership will create a much larger footprint for ZyLAB within our target markets, especially in the Federal government. We look forward to a long-term relationship that is mutually beneficial for both organizations.”
