Search Technology, and New E-Mail Archiving Solutions Highlight
Key Enhancements to ZyIMAGE
Janaury 30, 2006 - Vienna, VA - ZyLAB, an innovative
developer of Information Access Solutions, today announced that
it has released the latest version of ZyIMAGE. This version, free
for existing customers, includes major enhancements and significant
modifications. The new solution offerings are in direct response
to customer demands and bolsters the company's award-winning technology
for archiving, searching, and retrieving millions of pages of data,
whether its paper, e-mail and attachments, or any other type of
electronic file.
Key features now available to customers, include:
- Workflow including digital signatures
The ZyIMAGE Workflow solution enables workflow templates, work
pools, action types, etc. to be customized and implemented for
specific groups. The interface is straight forward and Web enabled,
and with automatically created digital signatures, users can be
sure that the integrity and security of their workflows are not
compromised. In addition, this new module works flawlessly with
other ZyIMAGE modules because of the seamless XML architecture
on which ZyIMAGE is built.
- Redaction Capabilities
ZyLAB's new redaction tools offer a full range of the most-requested
redaction features, including redaction on scanned images as well
as click-and-drag capabilities, multi-color redaction, synonym
redactions (replacing a name with a code), version control, and
more. Redactions can be tagged with additional key-field information,
which can contain data and time stamps, comments or applicable
legal rules, redaction creators, and additional user-defined key
fields.
- Enhanced E-Mail Archiving Tools
The ZyIMAGE E-mail Management Suite offers a scaleable approach
so that users can easily integrate it into larger document lifecycle
management processes, meaning extra storage is not required and
stored information is simple to search for and retrieve. Importantly,
users can select the proper scale for their ZyIMAGE E-mail Management
Suite based upon their actual needs: from basic personal searching
within an existing records management environment to comprehensive,
yet efficient, backup solutions within a broad knowledge management
context.
- New ZyIMAGE Archiving Plug-in
The ZyIMAGE Archiving Plug-in allows users to store documents
and/or email messages immediately into their ZyLAB or RMA archive.
This capability enables all users in the network to store and
share their information. All archived documents/messages are full-text
searchable. Standard email information such as the sender name,
subject, and date is stored as key fields. Any attachments included
in the email are saved as well, and a link is created between
the original email and the attachments.
- Updated ZyIMAGE Records Management Solution
A fully updated DoD 5015.2 and PRO / TNA (UK) compliant Records
Management and Archival solution is now included. Next to a new
user interface, several usability enhancements allow for so-called
"one" or "few clicks" archiving into a records
management system. This is essential functionality to ensure users
actually use a RMA system. Also, this version has in-depth integration
between the records management system and full-text retrieval.
