Agency Taps ZyIMAGE Document Imaging and Full-Text Retrieval
Solution
McLean, Virginia, Feb. 2 -- ZyLAB, an established
market leader of document imaging and full-text retrieval software,
today announced that the Department of Commerce, Office of Security
has selected ZyIMAGE document imaging and full-text retrieval software
for imaging certain Office of Security records. The Office of the
Director for Security is responsible for establishing and implementing
the Department's programs for the protection of all Commerce employees,
facilities, information, systems, and other assets and for providing
security services for the Office of the Secretary.
ZyIMAGE offers government organizations with a full XML framework
for storage and integration and is DoD 5015.2 compliant. During
the last two years, the latest version of ZyIMAGE was developed
in close cooperation between ZyLAB and customers such as the United
Nations War Tribunals and several classified defense organizations.
The mission of the Office of the Director for Security is to provide
policies, programs, and oversight as it collaborates with:
- Facility managers to reduce the terrorism risks to Department
personnel, and facilities;
- Program managers to reduce the espionage risks to Department
personnel, information, and facilities;
- Department and bureau leadership to increase emergency preparedness
for Department operations.
ZyLAB is working with over 100 North-American government organizations,
such as the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), Department of Commerce,
Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Montgomery
