McLean, Virginia, June 19, 2003 – ZyLAB, a leading developer
of document imaging and full-text retrieval software, announced
today the additional expansion of its already extensive one-stop
enterprise software package. ZyLAB has now integrated and embedded
leading-edge third-party technology into its back-office tool suite,
offering enterprise customers a definitive all-in-one solution.
Specifically, ZyLAB software’s expanded functionality has been enhanced
by the addition of three (3) new back-office modules:
-
ZyCOLD Professional, based upon state-of-the-art
technology from Planet Press, enables the direct storage of
spool files from users’ main frames or PCs.
-
ZyIMAGE for Forms, derived from the
award-winning Abbyy Formreader, provides extensive recognition
of all types of forms, even some handwritten ones.
-
ZyIMAGE Bar-Code Recognition Module,
based upon popular technology from I.R.I.S. (the developer of
the READIRIS OCR technology), enables users to use embedded
software-only barcode recognition.
Over the years ZyLAB has seen great demand among
its existing customers for this type and range of technology. Now,
ZyLAB and its partners can meet their enterprise customers’ needs
with an all-inclusive bundle of back-office tooling, which should
prevent users from having to buy and integrate additional tooling
from third-party vendors.
"We are pleased that we can now offer additional back-office functionality,"
said Johannes Scholtes, president of ZyLAB North America, LLC. "Our
customers, partners and salespeople will really benefit from an
expanded enterprise system that contains more of the most requested
tools for back-office tasks. Our customers will no longer need to
involve third parties or buy complete new systems. ZyLAB has done
the integration for them and will provide direct support for these
new products. Our one-stop-shop approach will save everyone involved
a great deal of time and money."
About ZyLAB
ZyLAB North America LLC is a fully owned subsidiary of the ZyLAB,
a fast growing and profitable group of companies. In 1983, ZyLAB

popular for searching large collections of electronic file collections
in PC environments. As of 1991, ZyLAB focused all of its development
and marketing efforts on ZyIMAGE, a move aimed at delivering the
best search engine available for large paper collections. As a result,
ZyLAB now has a full solution to archive, search, find, organize,
share, and reproduce all paper and electronic office documents.
