Event Overview
- Seminars and interactive sessions from leading professionals about the advanced technologies and procedural enhancements that are driving new levels of operational efficiency in private and public sectors. This year’s focus will be on technologies that provide integrated capabilities for managing the accumulated knowledge of an organization, especially records and e-mail, as well as other business-critical processes. Additional related topics to be covered include best practices for e-discovery preparation and implementation, forms recognition, document management and workflow activities.

Day 2: Learning Sessions
Experienced technology practitioners will be leading best-practice learning sessions focused on fully-integrated, user-friendly information-access solutions. You will not just be shown how a particular solution works, but you will also be introduced to a fully documented operational methodology (including quality control, auditing, reporting and performance measures) that you can apply to your own organization. Topics to be discussed include:
- Preparing for and conducting an e-discovery process, one of the most relevant, stressful and expensive propositions any organization can face.
- Conceptualizing and implementing filing plans, the critical components in conducting effective records management activities (which include managing contracts, projects, and personnel records; complying with established procedures; and so on).
- Managing e-mail archives, which requires more than just sophisticated searching. Can attachments be accurately and thoroughly searched? Can e-mail records be investigated alongside other documents in a data repository? Can e-mail files be easily and accurately deleted according to policies and legal requirements?
- Understanding the full impact of Google and MS Sharepoint in terms of how they are integrated into your organizational context.
