ZyLAB Participates in the Sedona Conference® RFP+ Group
Group’s Mission is to Provide Input to the Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production
McLean, VA - March 2, 2010 - ZyLAB, a leading provider of e-discovery and information management solutions, today announced it has joined the Sedona Conference RFP+ Group. The mission of the RFP+ Group is to provide input to the Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production when that Group, and/or its special project teams, is working on an issue involving the use of technology/ services provided by electronic discovery/electronic information management vendors, and to help create tools and solutions that will benefit the entire marketplace. This participation and the company’s support of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), demonstrates ZyLAB’s dedication to building eDiscovery solutions built on a common, flexible and extensible framework.
“By joining the The Sedona Conference and supporting the EDRM community we can continue to promote such standards in a larger context. By doing so, all our current and future customers will benefit from these industry initiatives,” said Johannes Scholtes, Chief Strategy Officer for ZyLAB. “By implementing these standards and initiatives into our own eDiscovery and Production system we reduce overall litigation costs and premature settlements due to the inconvenience of complex discovery activities.”
The ZyLAB eDiscovery & Production system is aligned with all critical EDRM phases and addresses all key aspects of e-discovery, from information management to producing relevant data for opposing counsel as well as for use in litigation software. The system offers more advanced third-party product compatible features than any other eDiscovery solution on the market today. It can be completely integrated with other litigation software and common repositories such as Microsoft SharePoint, databases, as well as ECM, CRM and ERP systems. The platform is built around an XML data repository and provides authorized reviewers with access via standard Internet browsers. This helps accelerate case analysis and document review, as well as enables discovery activities to be automatically performed in-house, thereby allowing customers to maintain control and minimize costs.
The Sedona Conference® is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) research and educational institute dedicated to the advanced study of law and policy in the areas of antitrust law, complex litigation, and intellectual property rights. Through a combination of Conferences, Working Groups, and the "magic" of dialogue, The Sedona Conference® seeks to move the law forward in a reasoned and just way. The Sedona Conference® succeeds through the generous contributions of time by its faculties and Working Group members, and is able to fund its operations primarily through the financial support of its members, conference registrants, and sponsorships.
The Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) Project was launched in 2005 to address the lack of standards and guidelines in the electronic discovery market. The completed reference model provides a common, flexible and extensible framework for the development, selection, evaluation and use of electronic discovery products and services. Information about EDRM is available at http://www.edrm.net.
