Pieter Varkevisser - Chief Executive Officer and President

Pieter Varkevisser, Chief Executive Officer and President of ZyLAB, joined the company in November 2009. In this role, Mr. Varkevisser is responsible for helping the company to capitalize on market opportunities, develop strategic partnerships and position the company for sustained growth.

Prior to joining ZyLAB, Mr. Varkevisser was an industry expert with Waterland Private Equity Investments and also acted as the interim CEO of Fa-med, one of its portfolio companies. From April 2004 until October 2008 he was CEO of SDL Tridion. During his tenure at SDL Tridion, the company experienced 17 consecutive quarters of solid profitability and high growth. Before becoming CEO at SDL Tridion, Mr. Varkevisser was CEO of DataDistilleries and worked for almost two decades in management positions within product development at several companies

Michiel Bergsma - Chief Financial Officer

Michiel Bergsma is Chief Financial Officer of ZyLAB, which he joined in April 2010. His primary areas of attention are Finance, HR, IT and Legal. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Groningen. Michiel Bergsma was previously employed as CFO at Civolution and Tridion. In that role he was responsible for (amongst others) improving all processes in the staff organization, (financial) reporting internally and externally, tax planning and M&A processes. Michiel Bergsma began his career as an accountant at KPMG. At KPMG he was primarily involved in the audit of multinational companies.

Johannes C. Scholtes - Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer

Dr. Johannes C. Scholtes is Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer of ZyLAB. Scholtes, who was ZyLAB’s President and CEO from 1989 to 2009, has been involved in deploying in-house e-discovery software to organizations such as the UN War Crimes Tribunals, the FBI-Enron investigations, the White House, and thousands of other users worldwide.

Before joining ZyLAB in 1989, Scholtes was a lieutenant in the intelligence department of the Royal Dutch Navy. Scholtes holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Delft University of Technology and a Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics from the University of Amsterdam. As of 2008, he holds the Extraordinary Chair in Text Mining from the Department of Knowledge Engineering at the University of Maastricht. In January 2010, Scholtes joined the board of directors of the Association of Information and Image Management (AIIM), the worldwide leading authority for standards and education in Enterprise Information Management.

Lennert J. Hoogvliet - Vice President of Professional Services

Lennert Hoogvliet is the Vice President of Professional Services for ZyLAB. As VP Professional Services, Hoogvliet heads up the Amsterdam-based Professional Services and Support Center which serves clients worldwide. Mr. Hoogvliet and his team of specialists build on ZyLAB’s commitment to provide high quality professional services and support to its customers and partners. During his career at ZyLAB, Mr. Hoogvliet has held a variety of positions in software development, technical installations and support, project management and sales. Mr. Hoogvliet received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the Haarlem Business School and joined ZyLAB in 1992 after having served in the Dutch Army.

Yuriy Pasichnyk - Vice President Product Management & Development

Yuriy Pasichnyk, Vice President Product Management & Development of ZyLAB, oversees the teams that manage ZyLAB's product portfolio. In this role, Mr. Pasichnyk is responsible for the design, creation and improvement of all ZyLAB's products, from e-Discovery & Legal Production to Enterprise Information Management offerings. He directs the teams with special focus on delivering unique user experience and continuous innovation.

Prior to joining ZyLAB in March 2010, Mr. Pasichnyk was Chief Technology Officer at Automotive Navigation Data N.V., where he led and managed Research and Development and was responsible for identifying alternative sourcing opportunities that resulted in 85% cost reduction in comparison with competitors. From 2004 till 2007 he was Director of Outsourcing at SDL Tridion, where he was directly responsible for the company’s outsourcing strategy. Earlier, Mr. Pasichnyk worked in various management positions within product development at SDL Tridion. Mr. Pasichnyk holds a Master of Science in Finance and Bachelor of Business Administration with honors from Kyiv National Economics University.
